Npcap is an improved version of WinPcap, compatible with the latest versions of Windows and with support for updates. Its name comes from the abbreviation of Network Package Capture, and this architecture allows you to capture and send network packages in Windows.
Real-time package display
With Npcap, you can see all the data packages being sent and received on your computer, which is ideal to help you see which program is generating traffic at any given moment on your PC. Thanks to this, you can know which programs to limit or uninstall or even if there are any intruders on your network. As well as viewing all network packages, you can also filter them by setting rules to discover which application they come from or which application they go to.
TCP, UDP and more
Npcap also allows you to create and send your own network packages to test networks, conduct investigations to check for security problems, or debug applications in a network environment. Npcap supports a wide variety of network protocols, including the widespread TCP, UDP, and ICMP. In addition, network statistics are kept at all times.
Several guides and lots of support
Npcap is aimed at network administrators and security researchers, although anyone can use it with the necessary knowledge. A wealth of documentation is available for the program, so getting started will not be a problem.
